If there's one thing we have in common as gardeners, it's the need to ward off unwelcome wildlife.  For many  that means deer.

If the best defense is a good offense, then it makes sense to start by choosing deer resistant plants.

Deer often steer clear of plants that are poisonous, fuzzy, coarse, spiny, bitter, or very aromatic.

Remember, Plants can only be called deer resistant, not deer proof.  Realizing this, below is a list of deer resistant plants that are rarely damaged
